Treo Recruitment will host a free community event at Edenthorpe Football Club on Thursday 6 August 2026 to launch Doncaster Rovers' new academy kit for the 2026/27 season. The event runs from noon until 6pm and will feature football activities for all ages, a mini tournament in the evening, food and refreshments, and opportunities to meet local businesses, charities and community organisations.
Academy Players and Club Personnel to Attend
Current and former academy players from Doncaster Rovers will be present, alongside personnel from the first team and U18s, to celebrate the launch. Stuart Swift, head of academy at Doncaster Rovers, described it as the first academy kit launch the club has hosted.
A Bridge Between Community and Club
Neil Jones, director at Treo Recruitment, said the event represents a chance to "celebrate local talent, connect with families and champion the next generation coming through the academy system." Swift praised Treo's suggestion to bridge the gap between community, club and commercial partners.
