Winger Luke Molyneux has rejected a new contract offer from Doncaster Rovers, manager Grant McCann has confirmed. Molyneux was offered fresh terms as he enters the final year of his existing deal but has turned down negotiations.
McCann also revealed that a bid for Molyneux has been received and is under discussion. The offer came after Rovers initially tabled the contract to the player. The club has rejected the first bid but indicated they could consider an offer that reflects the winger's market value.
Molyneux's Record at Rovers
Since joining Doncaster Rovers in 2022, Molyneux has recorded 71 goal contributions across three seasons. He scored 16 goals and provided 12 assists during the club's League Two title-winning campaign, before continuing as a regular starter in the following season.
Pre-Season Activity
Molyneux travelled with the squad for their pre-season tour in Ireland and featured in their opening fixture against St Patrick's Athletic.
The transfer window closes at 11pm on Tuesday 1 September.
